Part-Time Positions:
The Batesville Fire Department has an ongoing process for part-time EMT Basics, Advanced EMT’s, and Paramedics. *Fire certifications are preferred, but not required for part-time EMS positions*
EMT-Basic Requirements:
– 18 Years of Age
– Valid Indiana EMT-B certification
– Valid Driver’s License
– Current CPR card
– Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Current Pay Rate: $18.09/Hour
(2025 Rate: $18.63/Hour)
EMT-Advanced Requirements:
– 18 Years of Age
– Valid Indiana Advanced EMT certification
– Valid Driver’s License
– Current CPR card
– Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Current Pay Rate: $20.30/Hour
(2025 Rate: $20.91/Hour)
Paramedic Requirements:
– 18 Years of Age
– Valid Indiana Paramedic License
– Current ACLS and PALS
– Current CPR card
– Valid Driver’s License
– Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Current Pay Rate: $24.73/Hour

Paid on Call Firefighter:
The Batesville Fire Department is always accepting applications for Paid on Call Firefighters. No experience necessary, training will be provided!
Paid on Call Firefighter Requirements:
– 18 years of age
– Valid Drivers License
– Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
– Ability to pass a physical agility test
– Live in Batesville or the immediate surrounding areas with the ability to respond in a reasonable amount of time
