Batesville Police Add Officer Comer

August 18, 2017 — The Batesville Police Department is proud to announce the newest member of our agency, Officer Trevor Comer. Officer Comer comes to our agency with three years prior law enforcement experience with the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.

Prior to law enforcement Trevor served with the United States Marine Corps. Officer Comer joined the Marines Corps in 2009 where his job was a Field Artillery Cannoneer. Officer Comer later became a Section Chief over the 155mm Howitzer and the 120mm mortar and he enjoyed his time as a Marksmanship Coach. He finished active duty service as a Corporal in 2013. He remained with the Marines as an active reserve where he was promoted Sergeant and served until 2014.

He started working at the Ripley County Jail in 2014. Later in 2014 he was hired as a deputy for the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department. In his free time he farms with his family.
