Board of Zoning Appeals

The Batesville Board of Zoning Appeals meets the 1st Thursday of each month at 6:30pm.

The five members adopt rules, which may not conflict with the Zoning Code, concerning:

  • The filing of appeals
  • The application for variances, contingent uses, and conditional uses
  • The giving of notice
  • The conduct of hearings
  • The determination of whether a variance application is for a variance for use or for a variance from the development standards (such as height, bulk, or area) in accordance with I.C. 36-7-4-901, I.C. 36-7-4-902, I.C. 36-7-4-905, I.C. 36-7-4-906, and I.C. 36-7-4-907.
