The Batesville Economic Development Commission meets the 3rd Friday of each month at 8:00am.

The primary function of the five-member board is to explore ways to improve the overall economic viability of the municipality. Other duties include:

• Ways to provide gainful employment for the residents
• Attract a major new business enterprise or retain significant existing industries
• Improve and diversify the municipal tax base, in accordance with I.C. 36-7-14-43(a)(7)
