Our parks are the perfect platform for family gatherings, weddings, concerts and special events, such as the annual Kiwanis Applefest and National Night Out.

Batesville city parks include Liberty Park, Dog Park (located in Liberty Park), Veteran’s Park, Weberding Park, Brum Woods, Memorial Pool and Freedom Park.

Our parks are managed by the Batesville Parks and Recreation Board.  All inquiries regarding policy and management should be directed to the Park Board during its regularly scheduled meeting time on the third Wednesday, quarterly at 6:30 pm, Council Chambers, second floor.

Picture a concrete playground built out of pure speed and flow, where the architecture of the streets gets re-engineered for flight. It is a gray-scaled oasis of bowls, ledges, and rails, vibrating with a high-energy pulse that you can feel right in your chest. Visit the Batesville Area Skatepark and Outdoor Adventure Park and map out your next adventure via bowl traversing, pump track roller coaster style or climbing the boulder wall. The Skatepark and Outdoor Adventure has it all! Visit the Batesville Area Skatepark Advocacy’s Facebook page for event information.

City Reservoirs

Our city’s reservoirs have been stocked by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and fishing is permitted throughout.  Bischoff Lake, a city reservoir, offers public access for small watercraft

City Ordinance #94 applies.
