DESCRIPTION:The Parks and Recreation Board oversees many well-manicured cit
 y parks\, including the Memorial Pool.\n\nThe board meets the third Wednes
 day of the following months: February\, May\, August and November at 6:30 
 pm in the Council Chambers\, 2nd floor of the Memorial building\, 132 S. M
 ain Street\, unless otherwise stated.\n\nThe four members are appointed by
  the Mayor. The Board has the power to perform all acts necessary to acqui
 re and develop sites and facilities\, and to conduct any programs as are g
 enerally understood to be park and recreation functions in accordance with
  I.C. 36-10-3 et seq.
