DESCRIPTION:The Parks and Recreation Board oversees many well-manicured cit
 y parks\, including the Memorial Pool.\n\nThe board meets on the third Wed
 nesday of February\, May\, August\, and November at 6:30 pm in the Memoria
 l Building\, unless otherwise noted.\n\nThe four members are appointed by 
 the Mayor. The Board has the power to perform all acts necessary to acquir
 e and develop sites and facilities\, and to conduct any programs as are ge
 nerally understood to be park and recreation functions in accordance with 
 I.C. 36-10-3 et seq.
