Where Location is Key!
The City of Batesville, located in the southeast quadrant of Indiana, invites you to experience a rural community, which encourages and promotes a strong and healthy business climate, while continuing to maintain a quiet rural atmosphere with many amenities normally found in suburban areas. Nestled in the rolling hills of southeastern Indiana, the city is a friendly, family-oriented community which has grown into a thriving town with a rural charm all its own.
The city is located along Interstate 74, which is a transportation connector to I-65, I-75 and I-70. We are located at the hub of the thriving Midwest, which affords your company access for transporting finished products to your customers, plus incoming supplies in order to fulfill the production needs of your company's products. We are 50 minutes from the Greater Cincinnati Airport and 65 minutes from the Indianapolis International Airport.
Our economy is centered around a base of existing industries that are stabile, productive and growth oriented companies, which have remained strong corporate citizens for many years. The labor force is one of commitment, dedication, skill level diversity, to include middle and upper management. The city is very pro-active in entrepreneurial growth, new business attraction, while at the same time, maintaining a strong working relationship with the existing industry sector.
The K-12 educational system is exceptional, and within minutes of the community is a private grades 9-12 co-ed academy. The city is also fortunate to be a location for an IVY Tech State Community College campus, which offers on and offsite workforce development training opportunities to companies within the region.
