Batesville Memorial Pool Rules 

  1. Running is not allowed.  Please walk at all times.
  2. Sitting or standing on shoulders of others is not allowed.
  3. Jumping or diving over other patrons (in the game, “Wall”, for example) is not allowed.
  4. No shoes are to be worn on the pool deck.
  5. Swim suits must be worn.  No cut off jeans or shorts of any sort are to be worn in the pool.
  6. Tobacco products of any sort are not permitted within the pool gates, including vapes, E-cigarettes, vapor pens, chewing tobacco, etc.  Please use the designated smoking area located outside to the left when exiting the building out the front door.
  7. No diving is allowed in the 3’ and 4’ areas of the pool.  Jumping or diving from the red line area in the deep end of the pool is not allowed.  Jumping or diving is only allowed from the green line.
  8. You must be able to swim the width of the swimming pool to swim in the deep end to use the diving board.  See lifeguard for swim test.
  9. Lifejackets or any flotation devices are not permitted on the diving board.
  10. One bounce is allowed on the diving board.
  11. Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time.  Next person must stand on concrete deck until the dive/jump is completed by the previous user.  Waiting until that user reaches the ladder to exit the pool is required before the next jumper/diver enter the pool.
  12. You must jump straight out from the diving boards, rather than towards the side wall.No goggles are allowed in the dive pool.
  13. Pool provided life jackets are for slide use only.  Please do not remove them from the area.
  14. If a slider uses a life jacket, a responsible adult or babysitter must be present at the dive/slide pool.
  15. One rider on the slide is allowed at a time.  Arms and feet must be crossed when traveling down the slide.  Rider must ride feet first the entire ride.
  16. Goggles are not permitted to be worn in the dive/slide pool.
  17. Inflatable toys, life jackets, noodles, etc. are permitted only in the shallow end of the pool.
  18. Floats can be no larger than six feet in length.  Pool staff reserves the right to regulate the use of floats and toys if pool is crowded or misuse occurs.
  19. No glass of any kind is permitted at the pool, decks, splash pad, patio, locker rooms, etc.
  20. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult or babysitter at all times when on pool property.
  21. Foul language or personal display of affection is not permitted on pool property.
  22. No consumption of alcohol is permitted on pool grounds.

These rules help maintain a safe and sanitary pool for your use and enjoyment.  Those people who cannot obey these rules will be asked to leave pool property.
